The new Megane Renault Sport is powered by a new generation 2-liter 16-valve turbocharged petrol engine that boasts a maximum power of 250hp (184kW) at 5,500 rpm and peak torque of 340Nm from 3000 rpm. The number of various improvements made to this machine has resulted in gains of more than 20hp and 40nm of Megane R26.R itself emerged as a benchmark in the world of performance hatch. Renault Sport 2.0 T engine twin-scroll turbo is very responsive and flexible, especially at low revs, with 80 percent of maximum torque available from 1900 rpm.
